He was born at Saginaw, Michigan, September 9, 1872 and moved with his parents to Nebraska in 1879. He was married in 1900 and came west to Oregon with his family in 1912 then to Idaho in 1915 locating on a farm north of town. Later he purchased a farm west of New Plymouth where he made his home for nearly twenty years farming his own land and helping neighbors with their work. He gave a full day's work for an honest wage and the events of his active life were the source of many fascinating, well told stories that made his listeners regret the ending of the tale. He is survived by his wife, three children, two step children, seven grandchildren and a step grand-daughter. His children are Mrs. Gladys Porter, Kelso, Washington, Walter Bigsby, Forest Grove, Oregon, Bonny Bigsby, New Plymouth. One brother and one sister survive. Funeral services were held in the Congregational church Thursday with Rev. Knight of Nampa officiating, and Landon's directing. Burial was in Parkview cemetery.
