Robert Hefty of the Payette First United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will follow at Rosedale Memorial Gardens, Payette, with ritualistic rights by the Order of the Eastern Star and Daughters of the Nile. Mrs. Blackaby was born on May 4, 1904 in Mendon, Utah. The daughter of Willard and Ann Hughes. At a young age she moved to Payette. She married William Blackaby on June 14, 1925 in Payette. They made their home in Bakersfield, Calif. and Portland, Ore., then moved to Payette in 1940. She and her husband owned and managed The Ritz and Emma Theaters and built the Charm Theater in Payette. Mr. Blackaby died in 1981. Mrs. Blackaby was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Order of the Eastern Star, Daughters of the Nile, American Legion Auxiliary, and past President of Zetta Theta Gamma Delta and Safeway Auxiliary. She was also past Grand Guardian and worked for the Job's Daughters for 20 years. Survivors include a cousin, Dr. Jim Young of Moses Lake, Wash., several nieces and nephews and many friends. She was preceded in death by her husband and a brother.
