Services Held For C. Alfred Blessing, Former Fruitlander
 
Funeral services for C. Alfred Blessing, 46, of Medford, Ore., who was 
accidentally killed in a logging accident near Myrtle Creek, Ore., Sept 22, 
were held Sunday afternoon at Jerome, with the Wiley funeral home in charge of 
arrangements.  Conger-Morris Funeral Home in Medford, Ore., made preliminary 
arrangements.
 
He was born July 29, 1908, in Guthrie, Okla., and had lived in Medford for the 
past 16 months.  Previous to that he had lived in Fruitland, and for some time 
in Jerome, in which latter city he married Marie N. Pannell, who survives.  He 
was a member of the Moose lodge.
 
Survivors, in addition to the widow, include three sons, ET2 Carl D., and EM3 
James L., in the U. S. Navy and Warren Kay , at home; a daughter, Nina Jean, 
at home; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Carl D. Blessing, Jerome, Idaho; two 
brothers, Harold, Jerome and Victor, Haley, Idaho; a sister, Mrs. Lynn Jensen, 
Jerome and  one grandson.
