Last Rites Held For Mrs. Alice R. Boals

Services were conducted Saturday for Mrs. Alice Ruth Boals, 76, of Payette who 
died Wednesday in a local nursing home.
She was born Oct. 15, 1881, in Sioux City, Iowa and was married Sept. 22, 1904, 
in Dakota County Nebr. to Porter M. Boals.  The couple came to Payette in 1912, 
moved to the Oregon Slope community in 1915, then returned to Payette in 1946.
She was a member of the First Methodist church.
Survivors include her husband, one son, Gordon Boals of Washington, D. C.; two 
daughters; Gertrude Henry of Forks, Neb. and Mary Martin of San Jose, Calif.; 
two sisters, Mrs. Ada Ryan of San Diego,; and Mrs. Lulu Drake of Des Moines, 
Iowa; one brother, C. A. Kaxsp of Aberdeen, Wash., and seven grandchildren.
The services were held at 10:30 a.m. at the Methodist church with the Rev. 
Leonard Clark officiating.  
Interment was at Riverside cemetery under the direction of the Shaffer chapel.
