Chas Wesley Buell former pastor of the church who died Sunday at his home at Salem, Oregon. The Rev. E. W. Stuckbery, of Caldwell, gave the sermon and music was furnished by Mrs. Neil R. Fitch, Mrs. Russell Thistle and Mrs. Paul Felthouse. Interment directed by Landon's was at Riverside cemetery. The Rev. Mr. Buell, born in Ohio Aug. 1, 1867, was one of the first settlers on the Wilder bench area in 1910 and he served as pastor of the Wilder Baptist church until 1920 when he moved to the Payette church. After five years in Payette he served short pastorates in Filer adn Mountain Home. He retired three years ago, moving to Salem, Oregon. Survivors include his wife, Mary Elizabeth Buell, of Salem; three daughters, Mrs. Raymond D. Lamm, Weston, Ore., Mrs. Robert S. Haight, Winslow, Ariz. and Mrs. Carl H. Swanstrom, Council; one son, Homer D. Buell, Marsing; four brothers at Salem, Ore., and one at Cushing, Okla., and 18 grandchildren.
