E. W. Burkes, who with his wife, has been spending the winter with his 
daughter, Mrs. M. L. Lockhart, died at the Lockhart home on Saturday 
afternoon. The funeral was held from the Baptist Church in Payette, on Monday 
afternoon and burial was in Riverside cemetery. 
 
Note:  According to the Idaho Death Index, he was born 8-14-1841 and died 12-
27-1924.
