A. E. Rainwater, of the Assembly of God Church officiating. Interment followed at Rosedale Memorial Gardens in Payette. He was born Feb. 17, 1907, in Caldwell, the son of James and Leona Farmer Cardwell. He lived in Payette until 1949 and in McCall and in the Treasure Valley the remainder of his life. He married Belva Landreth on Feb. 11, 1929 at Ely, Nev. He was a member of the Assembly of God Church and a member of the Disabled American Veterans Post No. 23 of which he was a past commander. He had worked in this area in law enforcement and did carpenter work. Survivors include his wife, at home; an adopted daughter, Mrs. Eva Mullins of Union Cap, Ore., four nephews, James and Bryan Cardwell of Baker, Ore., Bud Cardwell of Raymond, Wash., Bernard Cardwell of Centralia, Wash.; two nieces, Mrs. Louise Mathias of Baker and Mrs. Betty Koskinen of Raymond, Wash. Memorials may be made to the Veterans Administration Hospital at Boise, Idaho.
