T. J. CARICO DIES AT SEATTLE Mrs. T. J. Carico passed away at a hospital in Seattle, Washington, September 13th, following an operation for tumor of the brain. The news of her passing brought sorrow to many friends of the family, both at Payette, where she was well known, and in the community on Payette-Oregon Slope where she has resided for many years. Mrs. Carico, who had been ailing for the past two years, was taken to Seattle three weeks ago where the best medical aid to be found was administered but to no avail. Besides her husband, T. J. Carico, she is survived by three children, Edgar of Seattle, Curtis and Ethel of Payette, also Mrs. Edgar Carico and grandson, Edgar Jr., of Seattle, two sisters, Mrs. Ida Beamer and Mrs. Brooks Goodhue of Seattle, a brother Bruce Cole and a sister Mrs. Bertha Brown of Galax, Virginia, also a number of nephews and nieces. She was born November 15th in Carroll county, Virginia. She became a member of the Methodist church at the age of eleven years and has been a faithful worker in the church since that date. She was united in marriage to Thomas J. Carico, October 15th, 1899 in the state of Virginia. They came to Payette 25 years ago and during that time Mrs. Carico made many warm friends in this community. She was a member of Harmony lodge No. 22 for the past 20 years and was an active member of Park Improvement club of Payette-Oregon Slope and was truly loved by the people of that community. The body was brought to Payette where the funeral which was largely attended, was held from the Methodist church Wednesday afternoon, conducted by the Rev. L. G. Fraser. Services at Riverside cemetery was conducted by the Rebekah lodge.
