Vera A. Castles
 
EUGENE, Ore. -- Rosary for Vera Ann Castles, 82, Eugene, who died Thursday at 
an Albany, Ore., hospital was recited Sunday at the Assum Funeral Home, 
Albany, by Fr. Meil Steed.  Mass was celebrated Monday at St. Aloysious 
Catholic Church, New Plymouth, by Fr. Richard C. Bauman.  Interment was in 
Parkview Cemetery, New Plymouth.
 
She was born March 9, 1893, in Genesee, and was reared and educated in 
Midvale.  She moved to New Plymouth in 1905 where she married Andrew P. 
Castles on Nov. 22, 1910.  She continued to live there after his death in 
1929.  She lived the last six years in Eugene.
 
She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and Catholic Daughters, Eugene.
 
Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. Opal Ackerman of Albany, Mrs. Lucille Stuve 
of Birkenfeld, Ore., Mrs. Pauline Olsen of Bend, Ore., Mrs. Mary Jane Johnson 
of Ontario, and Mrs. Billie Woife of Quincy, Wash.; 15 grandchildren and 13 
great-grandchildren.
 
Memorials may be made to the Oregon Heart Fund.
