CHILD DIED IN MOTHER'S ARMS

The eight months old child of Mr. and Mrs. O.D. Channer of Payette-Oregon 
slope, died very suddenly Sunday morning, presumably of heart failure. The 
little one had been suffering from a severe attack of whooping cough and on 
Saturday evening was quite bad. A little after midnight it became easier and 
went to sleep in the mothers arms and passed away some time later which was 
not discovered until about six o'clock in the morning when the mother awakened 
finding the child dead in her arms. Funeral services were held from the home 
Monday afternoon, conducted by Rev. Argyle Houser, pastor of the Church of 
God, and interment made in the Riverside Cemetery. Mr. and Mrs. Channer who 
but a few weeks ago moved to this community will have the sympathy of many 
friends in their sad bereavement.
