Payette Pioneer Dies, Rites Held
PAYETTE-D. Carl Chase, 79, of Payette, died in a Payette hospital early Monday 
after a long illness.
Mr. Chase was born Dec. 2, 1877, in Rock Creek, Wyo. He came to Payette from 
Pocatello in 1882. He was a member of the Episcopal church, Washoe lodge No. 28 
and AF&AM and all York Rite bodies. 
He is survived by a sister, Mrs. Fredrica Chase Moore of San Jose, Calif. 
Services were conducted Wednesday at the Riverside cemetery in Payette with 
Washoe lodge No. 28 AF&AM in charge. Arrangements were directed by the Shaffer 
chapel.
