Mrs. Paul Cheek Dies In Portland

Mrs. Paul Cheek, formerly a resident of Payette died in a Portland, Ore., 
hospital Saturday, April 20, following major surgery. 

Betty McNanis was born July 13, 1909.  On November 8, 1930 she was married to 
Paul Cheek at Grangeville, Idaho.  Mr. and Mrs. Cheek had resided in Payette 
until 1949 when they moved to Eugene, Ore.  Mr. Cheek had been employed at the 
local Farmers Co-operative Creamery for many years prior to their moving to the 
Coast.  

Mrs. Cheek is survived by her husband of Beaverton, Ore.; a son, William of 
Seattle, Wash.,; her mother, Mrs. Effie McGinnis of Corvallis, Ore.; three 
sisters, Mrs. Herman Wolcott, Corvallis, Ore., Mrs. Charles W. Cox, Sunnyside, 
Wash., Mrs. Howard A. Johnston, Beaverton, Ore.; and a brother, Wilbur (Buck) 
McGinnis, Ontario, Ore.

Services were conducted Tuesday morning, April 23, at the Glaske Mortuary and 
interment was at the Skyline Cemetery at Beaverton.
