E. Masonheimer, April 6, 1930. She has been totally blind for the past 24 years and for the past eight years has been confined to her bed, but bore her affliction with utmost patience. She became converted to the cause of Christ in early life and had lived a long and faithful Christian life and was ready, and for many years was patiently waiting to go to her reward. Mary Jane Hayse was born in the state of Ohio, March 23, 1838. At the age of 23 she was united in marriage to Jacob E. Clement in the state of Michigan, January 3, 1861. To this union was born two sons and four daughters. She was left a widow February 3, 1884, and came to Payette in 1888, where she has continued to live until the time of her death. She is survived by one son L. T. Clement of Payette and three daughters, Mrs. F. E. Hurd and Mrs. C. E. Masonheimer of Payette and Mrs. L. V. Hardiman of Denver, Colo. She is also survived by ten grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Funeral services were held from the Baptist church of Payette Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock, conducted by the pastor, Rev. L. G. Fraser. Interment at Riverside cemetery.
