Sunday Death Takes Mrs. Lizzie Coats of Oregon Slope
 
A long time resident of the Ore. Slope area died Sunday afternoon at her 
home.  She was Mrs. Lizzie Bell Coats, 77, widow of John W. Coats.  Mrs. Coats 
was born October 9, 1875 at Farragut, Iowa.  She moved to Boise in 1903 and 
later moved to New Meadows.
 
Mrs. Coats settled in the Oregon Slope district 37 years ago and lived there 
until her death.
 
She had been a member of the Evangelical church in Missouri.
 
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Junell Campbell of Oregon Slope and Mrs. 
Iris Musgrove of Payette; 4 grandchildren, 1 sister and 2 brothers.
 
Funeral services were held yesterday afternoon at the Shaffer Memory Chapel in 
Payette with Rev. Henry Warber officiating.  Interment followed at Rosedale 
Memorial Park in Payette.
