Charles W. Combs Rites Held Monday

Last rites for Charles William Combs, 83, who died at his home in New Plymouth 
early Friday after a long period of failing health, were held Monday afternoon 
at the New Plymouth Shaffer Memory Chapel with Percy Hartland officiating.

Mr. Combs was born at Terra Haute, Ind., on Jan. 3 1875 and came to New 
Plymouth from Neosho, Mo., in 1934. He was married to Katie Rosella Allen, 
Oct. 12, 1899 at Springfield, Ill.

Survivors include his wife; five sons, John H., Dennis L., Manford S., and 
Ralph L., all of New Plymouth and Arthur C. Combs of Ogden, Utah; four 
daughters, Mrs. Sylvia I. Davis of Caldwell, Mrs. Frances R. McCance of New 
Plymouth, Mrs. Ruby E. Corn of Meridian, Mrs. Betty L. Vogt of Ogden; three 
brothers, George and Merle Combs of Virden, Ill., and Edgar Combs of 
Ellensburg, Wash., 15 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Interment was held at Parkview in New Plymouth.
