Services Held For Homer B. Conkel
 
Funeral services were held Tuesday for Homer B. Conkel, 40, of New Plymouth, 
who died at his home Saturday following a heart attack.
 
Mr. Conkel was born July 4, 1918, at Des Moines, Iowa, and moved to the 
Payette community in 1938.  He served with the U.S. Army Engineers during 
World War II.  In 1950 he was married to Ellenore Olson at Tacoma, Wash.  The 
couple moved to New Plymouth in 1952.
 
Survivors include his wife, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Samuel D. Conkel of 
Payette, and a sister, Mrs. Marie Sparks of New Plymouth.
 
The services were held at 10 a.m. at the Shaffer chapel in New Plymouth with 
the Rev. Raymond A. Thompson of Fruitland officiating.  Interment was at Park 
View cemetery.
