Stephen Henry Conner

FRUITLAND -- Stephen Henry Conner, 73, of Fruitland, died March 31, 1994 at 
home. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday at the Free Methodist Church, 
Fruitland. Burial will follow at Park View cemetery, New Plymouth under the 
direction of Shaffer-Jensen Memory Chapel, Fruitland.

Henry was born March 30, 1921 in Burwell, Neb., a son of Stephan Jay and 
Helena Marie Conner. He grew up and attended school in Burwell. He moved to 
Idaho in 1943 and worked on local forms. He married Eunice Betts on July 7, 
1946 in Payette. In 1954 he went to work for Swisher Sand and Gravel where he 
worked for 13 years. He then woked at Ore-Ida for 23 years, retiring in 1991. 
He loved gardening. He was a member of the Fruitland Free Methodist Church and 
was active in helping build its new addition.

Survivors include his wife, Eunice, of Fruitland; three daughters and two sons-
in-law, Shirley and Don Favinger of Weiser, Shanna Holiday of Jacksonville, 
Ala. and Grace and Vernon Syme of Colorado Springs, Colo.; one son Dale of 
Fruitland; six brothers, Calvin of Parma, Clayton and Stanley, both of 
Fruitland, Lavern of Quincy, Wash., and Joe and Phil, both of Eugene; two 
sisters, Ana Rickard of Portland and Alta Southwell of Lake Oswego; three 
grandsons, two granddaughters and numerous nieces and
nephews. Henry was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorials may be made to the Fruitland Free Methodist Church building fund, 
care of Shaffer-Jensen Memory Chapel, P.O. Box 730, Payette, Idaho 83661.
