Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the Landon Undertaking parlor at 2 o’clock and interment was held in the Ontario cemetery, with Bishop Christianson of the L. D. S. church of Ontario, officiating. Allen Cox was the son of Orville S. Cox, a pioneer who came west and settled in Utah in 1847. He was born in Monti, Utah, June 15, 1858. On July 29, 1885, Allen Cox and Harriet Caldwell were united in marriage in Logan, Utah. To this union six children were born, one child Grace, passing away at the age of four. After living in Provo, Utah, and Salt Lake City during the early years of their marriage, they came to Idaho and settled in Idaho Falls in 1910. From there they moved to Boise and four years ago came to Payette, where they have since resided. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife, five children, Allen E. of Boise; Ralph R. of Portland; Mrs. J. C. Beunkisel of Pocatello; Mrs. K. O. Bandy and Mrs. T. J. McDaniel of Payette. Also ten grandchildren and one great grandchild. Many beautiful floral offerings were sent by his friends and neighbors in paying their last respects to his memory.
