Infant Found Dead In Bed
 
Gary Lyne, infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles O. Cox was found dead in bed by 
the mother at the family home 539 North 11th street early last Friday morning.
 
Cause of death was not determined according to reports.  The parents reported 
that they had put the child to bed the night before and at that time he was 
apparently feeling well.  They though he was still sleeping when the father 
left for work at Safeway Store the next morning, but a short time later when 
the mother went to get him she found the youngster dead.
 
A physician was called and a fire alarm sounded for a pulmotor to be brought 
to the house in an effort to revive the child but it proved of no avail.
 
Funeral services were held at the Landon Chapel Saturday afternoon with Rev. 
H. D. Robeson in charge.  Interment was at Rosedale Memorial park directed by 
Landon's.
 
Little Gary Lyne was born at Ontario Nov. 7, 1946.  Besides the parents he is 
survived by a sister, Parmela Marie; his grand parents, Mr. and Mrs. Amos Cox 
of Payette and Mr. and Mrs. Claude Henry, of La Grande, Oregon.
