Dacus, 63, of New Plymouth died Monday as a result of injuries suffered when the station wagon she was driving was struck by a car driven by David L. Holmstrom, 21, at a blind intersection on a county road west of New Plymouth. Both drivers were thrown from their cars and an ambulance was called to take Mrs. Dacus to the Ontario hospital where she died at 12:45 p.m. With Holstrom in his car were his wife Lois and two step-children, Holly Hause, five, and Lance Hause, three. Mrs. Holstrom received a severe cut on her forehead and the younger children child suffered cuts and bruises on the head and face. All were taken to the hospital for treatment. Mrs. Dacus was the mother of Mrs.. Robert Sturgis, who, with her husband, operates the California Courtel four miles west of New Plymouth. Payette county deputy sheriff Ray Rutherford who investigated the accident, reported that Holstrom was given a citation for failure to have a driver's license.
