On March 23, 1886, he was married to Miss Ida Roberts in Springview, Neb. They lived in Nebraska eight years and then moved to Baker, Ore., where they lived four years. From there they moved to the Payette Valley, where they have lived for the past 32 years. Mr. Darnell is survived by his widow, one daughter, Mrs. Dan Langlitz of New Plymouth, three sons Glenn of New Plymouth, Roy of Fruitland and Ross of St. Johns, British Columbia, Canada. Another son Danny, preceded him in death in 1911. He also leaves one brother at Springview, Neb. Besides these he leaves a large circle of friends in the community who were greatly grieved to hear of his untimely passing. He was one of the best known and most highly respected citizens in the community. He was a good neighbor and a kind friend. Funeral services were held from the Congregational church in New Plymouth, Wednesday afternoon, November 27, at 2:30, conducted by the Rev. Paul Iverson of Ontario. Interment was made in Park View cemetery in New Plymouth. The Modern Woodmen of which he was a member, attended in a body and conducted the services at the grave.
