Services Held For Former Resident
 
Funeral services were held Monday at Payette for Mrs. Edith Forbes Davis, 66, 
of Nampa who died at her home there after a long illness.
 
She was born June 15, 1893 at Kearney, Nebraska and moved with her parents to 
Payette in 1906 and attended the Payette schools.
 
She married Merrill G. Davis in 1917 and the couple lived in New Plymouth and 
Payette until 1947 when they moved to Nampa.
 
Mrs. Davis was a member of the First Christian church of Nampa and the Payette 
Order of Eastern Star; the Idaho Practical Nurses association and the Rebekah 
Lodge.
 
She is survived by her husband; two sons, Ralph J. Davis of Payette and Jack 
M. Davis of Tacoma, Washington; two daughters, Mrs. Virginia Montoya of El 
Paso, Texas and Mrs. Catherine Bean of Nampa; and nine grandchildren.
 
Services were held Monday at the First Methodist Church in Payette with the 
Rev. Leonard Lark officiating.  Interment was in Riverside Cemetery under the 
direction of the Shaffer Chapel.
