James Deal Dies in Boise Hospital

James Deford Deal, 79, of Payette, Rt. 1, died in a Boise hospital last 
Thursday night.  Mr. Deal was a resident of Payette for 55 years.  He was born 
in Wichita, Kan., Dec. 31, 1883 and married Mary Shamberger in Caldwell, June 
13, 1913.

He had come to Idaho in the early 1920’s and settled near Gayway Junction where 
he had armed most of his life.  He and Mrs. Deal were assisting several 
children other than their own through school.  Mrs. Deal died in 1960.  Mr. 
Deal was a member of the Church of the Brethren.

Survivors include one son, Richard Deal of Boise; one daughter, Mrs. Dorothy 
Meisbach of Fruitland; a brother, Charles of St. Joseph, Mo., and a sister, 
Mrs. Minnie Sell of Nampa.

Services were held Tuesday in the Fruitland Church of the Brethren with Rev. 
Paul ???er officiating.  Interment followed at Riverside in Payette.  Friends 
may call at the family home, Rt. 1, from noon until an hour before the services 
Tuesday.
