Decker was born at Eagle Point, Illinois, November 10, 1855, and passed away at his home at Fruitland, Wednesday, February 3, 1932, at 3 p. m., aged 76 years, 2 months and 23 days. In the year 1882 he moved with his brother, J. W. Decker to Wood River, Nebraska. Here they lived until 1919, when they moved to Fruitland, Idaho, where he has been associated with his brother in apple raising on their 10 acre tract, 3-4 miles south of Fruitland. Mr. Decker was taken sick with heart trouble some five years ago and has been a patient sufferer ever since. He was bedfast only a few days before his death. He suffered a slight stroke of paralysis on Sunday evening. He leaves to mourn his passing three brothers, J. W. Decker and his wife of Fruitland, these two brothers having been pardners in all their undertakings for a period of 49 years; Abel Decker of Sharpsburg, Iowa, and Joel Decker of San Francisco, Cal., and one sister, Mrs. Annie McNeal of Clearfield, Iowa. He also leaves a nephew, Ray J. Decker and family of payette, Idaho, and a host of other relatives away from here. He also leaves a large circle of friends in the community. Mr. Decker was a good neighbor and kind friend, always ready and willing to lend a helping hand where ever needed. Funeral services were held from the Methodist church in Fruitland Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock, conducted by Rev. Geo. Roseberry of Kimberly. Interment was made in Park view cemetery in New Plymouth. CARD OF THANKS We desire to express our thanks and appreciation to our neighbors and friends who assisted us in the sickness and burial of our brother and uncle, Mason C. Decker. We especially wish to thank the ones for the beautiful flowers, the choir for the singing, Rev. Roseberry, also the pallbearers. Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Decker Mr. and Mrs. Ray J.
