Fruitland Farmer, Lawrence Dorathy Passes In County
 
The funeral services for Lawrence P. Dorathy, long time Fruitland resident who 
died Monday, were held this afternoon at the Shaffer Memory chapel in Payette.
 
Mr. Dorathy, 79, moved to the Fruitland area in 1892 and has been a farmer in 
the district.  He was born Oct. 15, 1873 in Chicago and moved to Payette 
county from Beardsley, Minn.
 
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Kate Dorathy; two daughters, Mrs. Hazel Rose of 
Meridian and Mrs. Phyllis Catron of Payette; one son, Paul A. Dorathy of 
Fruitland; a brother, Charley Dorathy of Portland; one sister, Mrs. Ruth 
Hannan of Santa Monica, Cal.; nine grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
 
One son, Elmer Dorathy, died in 1950.
 
Services were held this afternoon at 2:30 with Mrs. George Glenn as reader.  
Interment was at Riverside cemetery.
