Word has been received announcing the death of Mrs. A. L. Durkee, formerly Miss Myrtle Bell of Payette, which occurred at a hospital in Pasco, Wash., Sunday, November 21. Mrs. Durkee was the eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. M. Bell, and a graduate from the Payette high school about the year 1911, and was later a teacher in the West Side school for several years. She was one of Payette’s most highly respected and beloved young ladies and the news of her death will bring sadness to her many friends at this place. She is survived by her husband A. L. Durkee and a baby boy, her parents Mr. and Mrs. H. M. Bell of Pasco, and a sister Mrs. Robert Thornton of Payette and four brothers, Harry Bell of Aberdeen, Wash., Charles, Roscoe and Percy Bell of Pasco.
