Mabel Elston Dies at Boise
 
Mrs. Mabel B. Elston, 73, of Fruitland, died in a Boise hospital Thursday 
following a short illness.  She was born at Florence, Kan., Jan. 16, 1891.  
She was married to Hugh W. Elston at Florence on May 3, 19?1.
 
The couple moved to the Payette area from Soda Springs in 1926.  She was a 
member of the Brethren Church of Fruitland.
 
She leaves her husband; a daughter, Mrs. Joe E. McGrath, Kooskia; one sister, 
Mrs. Myrtle Camel of Soda Springs; three brothers, Ben Blackburn, Fruitland, 
Earl Blackburn of Emmett and Chester Blackburn of Salt Lake City; one grandson 
and three great-granddaughters.
 
Services were held Monday at the Shaffer Chapel with the Rev. Earl H. 
Traughber of the Brethren Church of Fruitland officiating.  Interment followed 
at Riverside cemetery.
