Ferrel Funeral services were held Monday for Mrs. Anna Josephine Ferrel, 53, of Payette. She died at her home last Thursday after a long illness. Mrs. Ferrel move to the Payette community in 1925 from Lincoln, Neb. She was born Sept. 1, 1899 at Plattsmouth, Neb. She had been a member of the Catholic church and the 4L club. Surviving are her husband, W. C. Ferrel of Payette; a son, William Ferrel, Jr., now serving in the army; three daughters, Mrs. Lillian Surprenant of Klammath Falls, Ore., Mrs. Pearl Johanek and Miss Jo-Anne Ferrel, and her mother, Mrs. Mary Rys of Lincoln, Neb. Also surviving are four sisters, two brothers and six grandchildren. Recitation of the rosary was Sunday evening at the Shaffer memory Chapel in Payette. Services were Monday morning at the Holy Family Catholic church in Payette with the Rev. Father Nicolas Walsh officiating. Interment was in the Park View cemetery at New Plymouth.
