MANY ATTEND FUNERAL SERVICES    
 
Of Popular High School Girl, Member of Senior Class of 1917
 
One of the most impressive funeral services ever witnessed in Fruitland was 
that of Lela May Fisher, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Grant Fisher, held at the 
Brethren church last Sunday morning.  The young lady aged eighteen years, nine 
months and twenty-two days, was a senior in the high school and had a host of 
friends who mourn her death.
 
Both the Baptist and Methodist churches dismissed Sunday school and their 
regular services that all might attend the services which were conducted by 
Rev. J. E. Shamberger at 11 o'clock.
 
Miss Fisher came to Fruitland with her parents in the spring of 1908, being 
born near Sheridan, Missouri, May 10, 1898, and would have graduated from the 
Fruitland high school in June of this year.
 
The interment took place in Riverside cemetery at Payette, the casket and 
grave being covered with beautiful floral offerings from sorrowing friends.

As we cannot thank all our dear friends personally we take this means of 
expressing our gratitude to them for their kind acts and sympathy during the 
illness and death of our loved one.
