D. FLENNER Judge J. D. Flenner, the well-known newspaper man, author, lecturer and interpreter of the hoosier poet, James Whitcomb Riley, died at the residence of his son, Guy Flenner, in Boise at 6:50 o'clock Tuesday morning, March 14th. Judge Flenner's death was caused by diabetes from which he had been a sufferer since last fall. Judge Flenner was an Idaho pioneer who had been active during his long residence in the State as a preacher, writer and lecturer. He was publicity agent for Idaho at the Panama-Pacific exposition, which position he filled until the end of the fair, thus closing his active career with the kind of work for which his talents as a writer and social qualities made him eminently efficient.
