He had been quite sick for some time and his death was not unexpected. He was 77 years old. Mr. French was born November 29, 1836 at Cato, Caynga, N. Y. In 1845 his family moved to Michigan where he remained for a number of years. In 1866 he married Miss Susan Graves. From Michigan he moved to Nebraska then to Oregon and finally to Idaho, settling in the Payette valley near New Plymouth. That was 18 years ago and he has lived her ever since. His wife and one son, T. D. French, survive him. He was one of the old pioneers of the Payette valley and was loved and respected by all. Funeral services were held Monday morning at the Congregational church and were attended by a large company of friends and neighbors. The body was laid to rest in Park View cemetary.
