He was born June 30, 1904 at Medford, Ore., the son of William and Amy Garrett. He was raised and educated in Oregon, where he met and married his wife, Ida. They moved to California where he was engaged in mining. They then moved to Jordan Valley, Ore., where he farmed and ranched. He moved to New Plymouth in 1944 where he owned and operated a service station. Mr. Garrett was a skilled repairman and mechanic. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ida.
