Last Rites Held For Mrs. Effie Giddings

Services were conducted Tuesday for Mrs. Effie L. Giddings, 79, Payette, who 
died in an Ontario nursing home late Saturday night following a long illness.

Mrs. Giddings was born in Magnolia, Iowa March 22, 1881, and was married to 
Thomas E. Giddings at Ames, Iowa, March 11, 1914.  They moved to the Payette 
community from Iowa in 1918.  She was a member of the Christian church and the 
Rebekah lodge.

Survivors in addition to her husband include a son, Alonzo N. Giddings of 
Hermiston, Ore.; two daughters, Mrs. Marcella Wilson of the Oregon Slope 
community, and Mrs. Elsie Swigart of Payette; one sisters, Mrs. Grace Caldwell 
of Independence, Kan.; 10 grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Services were held Tuesday afternoon at 3 p.m. at the Shaffer chapel in Payette 
with the Rev. Earle Moore officiating.  The Payette Harmony Rebekah lodge No. 
22 performed fraternal honors.  Interment followed at Riverside cemetery.
