NEW PLYMOUTH - Rosary was recited Friday evening and requiem mass celebrated 
Saturday for William Henry Godschalx, 88, pioneer New Plymouth resident who 
died last Tuesday in Forest Grove, Oregon.
 
Fr. Dionel Buote was the celebrant at the St. Aloysius Catholic church in New 
Plymouth.  Interment was at Park View under the direction of Shaffer-Jensen 
Memory Chapel.
 
Born March 8, 1880, in Berlicum, The Netherlands, he was reared there and came 
to the New Plymouth area when he was 30.  He farmed and operated a service 
station south-east of there for many years.  He retired in 1958.  he was 
visiting his daughter in Forest Grove at the time of his death.  He was a 
member of the Catholic Church.
 
He is survived by one son, William L., of Payette and a daughter, Mrs. Robert 
(Frances) Harris of Forest Grove and seven grandchildren.
