Mrs. Maude Grogan Passes In Portland
 
Word was received by local relatives the forepart of the week of the death of 
Mrs. Maude Bates Grogan, which occurred at the Good Samaritan hospital in 
Portland, Oregon last Sunday.  Mrs. Grogan left Payette sometime ago for 
Portland for medical attention.  Deceased was born in Boone County, Iowa, Feby 
29, 1884.  
 
Mrs. Grogan is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Harold Guy, of Payette, Mrs. 
LaVerne Taylor, of Parma, and Mrs. Winifred Crapo of San Francisco.  She 
leaves her mother and step father, Mr. and Mrs. James A. Bates, of Payette, 
one brother, J. E. Bates, of New Orleans, La., two sisters, Mrs. William S. 
Youst of Spokane and Mrs. D. O. Evans of Yakima, Wash.
