A FORMER PAYETTE LADY PASSES AWAY
 
The Enterprise is in receipt of a letter from Mr. Fred G. Potter of Promise, 
Oregon, announcing the death of Magdalene Hafer at her home near Troy, Oregon, 
August 18th at the age of 83.  She and Mr. Hafer were among the pioneers of 
Payette, she was a sister of Mrs. Eliza Alber and Mrs. Mary Wertman, who now 
live here, and B. F. Bartch of Portland, and G. W. Bartch of Salt Lake.
