C. Hammond was overcome with heart failure and expired in a few moments after being taken to the Woodward hospital. Mr. Hammond was in Boise assisting in the preparation of Canyon county’s exhibits at the eastern expositions and had arranged to accompany them to Chicago and Pittsburg when he was called home by the sad news of the death of his wife. This is the second death in the family that has occurred this year and leaves the husband entirely alone. The son died in Twin Falls in August. A short but impressive funeral service was conducted at the residence by Rev. Geo. H. Turner Tuesday afternoon and the body was sent to Boise where the son was buried.
