The entire community was saddened by the fatal accident that happened to 
Melvin Harris, 11 year old stepson of Tony Jim. He was sleighing behind a 
horse when the horse took freight and kicked him in the head. He was picked up 
unconscious and died six hours later. The funeral was held at the Baptist 
church on Tuesday afternoon, six boys from his school grade acted as 
pallbearers.
