Herbert Harris, father of William Harris, who is engaged in picking fruit on 
the Shontz ranch, died Monday from pneumonia. He was taken ill at his mining 
claim near Durkee, Ore., and his son went for him and brought him here. He was 
71 years old.

The funeral was held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock, Rev. A. F. White 
officiating. Interment was at Riverside cemetery.
