Hartung PAYETTE - Private family services for Jack A. Hartung, 67, an electrical contractor, Payette, who died Thursday, Sept. 4, 1986, at an Ontario hospital, were conducted Sunday under the direction of the Shaffer Jensen Chapel, Payette. He was born May 18, 1919, at Payette, the son of Charles and Elsie Hartung. He was reared and educated at Payette. He married Barbara Shimp at Payette. He worked for Gem Electric for ten years, and in 1954 began operating his own business, Hartung Electric. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Payette; the Elk's Lodge, Ontario; the America Legion, Payette; and the Masonic Lodge, Payette. He is survived by his wife, Barbara, of Payette; his mother, Elsie Anderson, Payette; three sons, Tim and Terry, both of Payette; and Tom, of Wrangell, Alaska; one brother, Morris (Mory) Hartung, Payette: two sisters, Helen M. Lightfoot and Dorothy A. Boles, both of Ontario; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father. Memorials may be made to the First Methodist church, Payette, or the Mountain States Tumor Institute.
