Edna Boggs Heleker
 
Edna Boggs Heleker, 92, Weiser, died Dec. 28, 1991, at a Weiser care center.  
Services were 2 p.m. Dec. 30 at Thomason Funeral Chapel, Weiser, with Dr. 
Leonard Reifel officiating.  Burial followed at Rosedale Memorial Gardens, 
Payette.
 
Mrs. Heleker was born July 24, 1899, at Beattle, Kan., the daughter of Henry 
and Mary Shearer Boggs.  Mrs. Heleker taught school for two years before 
marrying Harry P. Heleker at Manhattan, Kan. in 1923.  The couple lived in 
Caldwell for one year in 1929, moved to Beattle on the homestead farm until 
1937, then to Marysville, Kan.  In 1942 they moved to Payette and resided in 
this valley ever since.
 
Survivors include a son, Pat Heleker, of Payette; a daughter, Hope Jackson, of 
Weiser; a sister, Erma Fitz Gerald, of Beattle, Kan.; eight grandchildren, 
Patty Simms, Sharon Martin, Kathy McCarroll, Brent Heleker, Mark Heleker, 
Janet Koskella, Gail Allmer and Debie Prince; and 21 great-grandchildren.
 
She was preceded in death by her husband, two sisters, one brother and one 
grandson, Gary Jackson.
 
The family suggests that memorials be made in her name to Friends of The 
Hospital, 645 E. Fifth, Weiser, Idaho 83672, or to a favorite charity.
