He passed away at his home Tuesday morning at 6 o’clock, following an illness of two weeks, when he suffered from an attack of flu and pneumonia. He leaves to mourn his loss, his widow, one daughter, Mrs. Joe Lingo of Ontario, one son, Cecil, aged 7, one grandson and his father and mother, two brothers and two sisters, all of Burns, except one brother in West Virginia. Funeral services were held from the Methodist church, Thursday morning at 10 o’clock, and interment made in Riverside cemetery. In losing Mr. Hill, Fruitland has lost one of its most highly respected citizens, as he was always ready and willing to help with anything for the betterment of the community. He was well known, having made a close run for county assessor last fall. The sympathy of his many friends is extended to his bereaved widow.
