F. Huff Sunday May 14 Funeral services for B. F. Huff were held in the Methodist Church Sunday, May 14 at 1:30 o’clock conducted by the Rev. L. G. Fraser and Rev. C. O. Heath. Previous to the funeral services the Masonic lodge held their ceremonies at the Masonic hall and attended in a body. The Methodist quartet sang two numbers. Benjamin Franklin Huff was born near Little Sioux, Iowa, on August 22nd, 1866, where he grew to manhood. He was engaged in the drug store business during his youth in Missouri Valley, Iowa. On September 20th, 1891, he was united in marriage to Ruby Amy Hefford of Magnolia, Iowa and to this union one child was born, Lenora Huff, a teacher in the Lodi, California schools. Mr. Huff served Harrison county as County auditor for several years after his marriage, then coming to Payette to make his home. Here he took over the management of the Payette Equity Exchange and later owned the Cash Feed Store. He was well known in Payette and highly respected by those who came in contact with him. He was a member of the Washoe Lodge No. 28 A. F. & A. M., also a Royal Arch Mason and a member of the Eastern Star to which he was faithful in attendance until health would not permit. Besides his wife and daughter he is survived by one sister Mrs. Clara Weston of Baker, Oregon and two brothers, Dr. J. W. Huff also of Baker, and T. C. Huff of Haines, Oregon. The body was taken to Logan, Iowa, for burial, where the Masonic lodge will conduct the services at the grave.
