IDLE Lewis Dunning Idle, 87, Payette, died Tuesday at a Payette nursing home. He was born July 22, 1882, at Green Bay, Ont., Canada. He moved to Clarksburg, Canada, in 1892. He married Mary E. Alcock there in 1907. They lived in Clarksburg until 1911 when they moved to Drybuck and then to Montour in 1913. He worked for the Union Pacific Railroad for 23 years. In 1946 the couple moved to Emmett. Mrs. Idle died in 1952. He married Blanche Olson at Payette in 1953, and they had made their home in Payette since. He was a member of the First Christian Church and the Payette Floral Club. Besides his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Irene Tucker, Emmett and Mrs. Edna Gravelle and Mrs. Mildred York, both of Boise; a brother, Albert ? Idle, White Rock, B. C.; two sisters, Mrs. Mary E. Dawn, Regina Sask., and Mrs. Mercy McMullen, Armstrong, B. C.; two stepsons, Ray and Glen Olson, both of the Oregon Slope; three stepdaughters, Mrs. Venice Mogenson Fruitland, Mrs. LaVelle Moosman, Payette, and Mrs. Barbara Attebery, Caldwell; two grandchildren and one great grandchild and one great great grandchild. Services were conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at the Shaffer-Jensen Memory Chapel in Payette by the Rev. Edward McIndoo of the Ontario First Christian Church. Graveside services were conducted at Emmett. The family suggests memorials given to the Payette First Christian Church.
