Rev. S. D. McNeil preached the sermon. Interment was made in the New Plymouth cemetery. Otto William Johnson was born near Stockholm, Sweden, September 1, 1867 and passed away at his home near Fruitland June 13, 1937. He spent his boyhood in Sweden, coming to the United States at the age of twenty-one and locating at Hot Springs, South Dakota. Four years later he was united in marriage to Emma Carolona Ogren. To this union were born six children, his wife and two sons having preceded him in death. Those left to mourn are two daughters, Esther Hutchinson of Bruno, Idaho and Selma Roberts of Albany, Oregon, and two sons, Harry Johnson of Three Creek, Idaho, and Elmer Johnson of Albany, Oregon, also five grandchildren. The children were all with him eight weeks ago. Mrs. Hutchinson and Mrs. Roberts remained doing all that loving hands could do to relieve his suffering and cheer his remaining days. He was a faithful member of the Lutheran church. He came to Idaho thirty-one years ago and located in Payette Valley where he has since resided proving himself a valuable citizen, good neighbor, friend and devoted father.
