Military rites followed under direction of the American Legion John Webster Rhoades Post No 33 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 2738 at Rosedale Memorial Gardens, Payette. He was born May 27, 1925 at Orla, Mo., the son of Will and Alice Jones. He had worked in orchards in this area for many years and had lived in this community for 35 years coming from Lebanon, Mo. He served in World War II as a corporal and received the victory medal, good conduct medal and three bronze service stars. Survivors include one sister, Mrs. Iland (Grace) Barr of Lebanon, Mo.; and one sister-in-law, Mrs. Gladys Jones of Payette.
