Interment followed in Riverside Cemetery, Payette. He was born March 18, 1915, in St. Petersburg, Russia, where his father was teaching at the time. Two years later he returned with his parents, Johann and Melena Kynapp, to their home country, Estonia, where he was reared and educated. He attended college at the Music conservatory in Tallin, Estonia, where he received a Degree in Music. In 1944 he left Estonia for Germany to be free from Russian rule. He married Hilda Bralits on Aug. 28, 1946 at Munich, Germany. She also had left Estonia two years earlier. While in Munich he studied for four years in music and medicine. In 1949 they came to America and settled in St. Paul, Minn. He studied at the University of Wisconsin and received his Masters Degree in Music. Over the years he taught in various schools throughout the United States before coming to Payette in 1969 where they made their home. He was the band instructor for two years in Payette then over the next seven years he taught in Arizona and Colorado while retaining heir home in Payette. They returned to Payette in 1977 when he retired, coming from Bonners Ferry, Idaho. He was a member of the Lutheran Church. Survivors include his wife, Hilda of Payette, two sons, Raivo Kynapp of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. and Raul Kynapp of Palm Beach, Fla., and a brother Eugene Kynapp of Tallin, Estonia.
