Otto Kelso LaPorte Passes Away Friday
 
Funeral services for Otto Kelso LaPorte, 67, of Fruitland, were held Monday 
afternoon at 2:00 o'clock at the Shaffer Memory chapel in Payette, with Rev. 
Arthur Baldwin officiating.
 
Mr. LaPorte passed away at an Ontario hospital last Friday.  He was born May 
11, 1885 in Baker county, Oregon, and came to Fruitland from Unity, Oregon, 13 
years ago.
 
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Hollie LaPorte, of Fruitland; two daughters, Mrs. 
Wayne Lee of Fruitland, Mrs. Fred Powell of England; one son Kelso LaPorte of 
Fruitland; three grandsons; two sisters, Mrs. William Edwards, of Weiser, and 
Mrs. Lulu Homes of Baker.
