Dean L. Leak

ONTARIO - Dean Leroy Leak, 85, of Ontario, died Nov. 18, 1983, in an Ontario 
nursing home. Services will be conducted Monday at 10 a.m. at the Ontario 
Chapel of the Roses with Bishop LeRoy Cammack of Ontario Second Ward, Church 
of Latter-Day Saints, officiating. Interment will be in Rosedale Memorial 
Gardens, Payette.

He was born Dec. 1, 1897, in La Grande. He married Olivia Nelson in 1929 in 
Oakland, Calif. She died Aug 13, 1977. He married Viola Anderson on April 16, 
1979, in Las Vegas. He was a retired carpenter and farmer. He lived in the 
Ontario community for 40 years.

In 1944, he received a meritorious service award from the United States Navy 
recognizing civilian service at the Naval Supply Depot in Utah.

He was member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Ontario 
Second Ward.

Survivors include his wife, Viola, Ontario; seven stepchildren, Jean Anderson, 
Erma Hatcher, Betty Castle, Thomas Anderson and Mary Ann Anderson, all of 
Ontario; Bob Anderson, Umatilla, and Sharon Gray, North Bend; four brothers, 
Leonard of Tremonton, Utah, George of Centerville, Utah, Alton of Bountiful, 
Utah, and Merle of Morgan, Utah; three sisters, Thelma Daybell, Donna Houlding 
and Leah Anderson, all of Salt Lake City; 17 grandchildren, and 19 great-
grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by one brother and one sister.

Friends may call from 7 until 9 p.m. Sunday evening at the Ontario Chapel of 
the Roses.
