He was born May 31, 1915, in Fruitland, where he was reared and educated. He married Elouise Mackey on Sept. 28, 1940, in Caldwell. He farmed at Fruitland. He was a member of the Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife of Fruitland; a son, Larry of Houston; a brother, Glenn of Fruitland; a sister, Lavina Swartwood of Oak Harbor, Wash.; two grand- children Jerry and Tricia Lockner; and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call today at the Fruitland Shaffer-Jensen Chapel from 3 p.m. until 9 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Fruitland Church of the Brethren or to a favorite charity.
